Acceptance

By creating an account or using Resume Tailor (resume.mehtasmeet.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What this service does

Resume Tailor uses AI to generate tailored resumes and cover letters based on your input (a source resume and a target job description). The AI is provided by third parties (Google Gemini, Groq). The output is a draft document for your reference.

⚠️ AI output disclaimer

AI-generated content can contain errors, fabrications, or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying every word before submitting any tailored resume or cover letter to a potential employer.

We do not guarantee:

• That AI output is factually accurate
• That AI output preserves all information from your source resume
• That AI output will pass any specific Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
• That using a tailored resume will result in interviews, job offers, or any career outcome

Treat AI output as a starting draft, not a final document. Read every line. Fix errors. Add anything missing. The responsibility for what you send to employers rests entirely with you.

Account responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity under your account
• Providing only resume content that you are authorized to share (i.e., your own, or content you have permission to use)
• Not sharing your account with others

Acceptable use

You may not use Resume Tailor to:

• Generate resumes containing knowingly false information
• Impersonate another person or claim credentials you do not hold
• Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates the rights of others
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our prompts or models
• Run automated scripts to abuse the free tier or evade rate limits
• Resell or redistribute the service without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Free tier and paid plans

Free accounts are limited to 5 generations per rolling 30-day window. Paid upgrades (currently handled manually — email email@mehtasmeet.com) provide unlimited or extended usage. Pricing and tier limits may change with notice.

Refunds for paid plans are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of payment if you believe a refund is warranted.

Intellectual property

You retain all rights to:

• The resume content you upload
• The job descriptions you paste
• The tailored resumes and cover letters generated for you

We retain rights to:

• The Resume Tailor service, code, prompts, and templates
• The Resume Tailor name and branding

Service availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uptime. The service may experience interruptions due to maintenance, third-party AI provider outages, or other factors. We are not liable for losses resulting from service unavailability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resume Tailor and Smeet Mehta are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Total liability is limited to the amount you have paid to use the service in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for free users, is zero).

This includes — without limitation — loss of job opportunities, loss of income, embarrassment, or any career-related consequence resulting from AI output errors. You alone decide what to send to employers.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing email@mehtasmeet.com. We may terminate or suspend access for accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
